Description
William Maule of Fowlis has given, granted, and by this his charter established to Thomas the clerk, his nepos, his church of Fowlis [Easter] (ANG) in free alms, with the kirklands, by stated bounds. He has also granted to Thomas a certain land on the west side of the villa to the animals’ exit. He has granted the teinds of his mill and common pasture. He has granted the church to the persona free and quit from all secular custom, with teinds, oblations, obventions, and all rights pertaining to the church, for a mark annually to the canons of St Andrews Priory on Martinmas.
