Document 3/386/14 (Newb. Reg., no. 216)

Description
Adam of Morham has given and granted and by this his present charter established to Newbattle Abbey the mill of Stenhouse (STL) with all its liberties and easements, with free access to the mill, in free, pure and perpetual alms. Since it may happen that the Noblewoman Euphemia may die, as she holds a third part of the mill as her dowerland, Adam wills that the said third part will revert to its entirety without any reservation.
