Description
John Malherbe, lord of Morham, has granted and by the present charter established to Newbattle Abbey that part of the peatary of ‘Crumbrestrothyr’ (ELO) which Alexander de St Martin gave them and by his charter established. He also grants and establishes licence to build a mill pond at Bearford on his land of Morham (ELO), by stated bounds, free and quit from all service, and custom, and secular demand.
