Document 3/386/3 (Newb. Reg., no. 98)

Description
John Malherbe, lord of Morham, on account of good peace and charity and for the calming [sedationem] of the great dispute which had endured between the monks of Newbattle and his predecessors over the bounds of that land called ‘Qwyttewelstrothyr’ (ELO) by old certification and his faithful men and others, he has caused the old bounds of the said land clearly to be restored.
