- Description
- Philip de Vermelles II (secundus), with the consent of his son and heir Philip, in pure and perpetual alms, has given and by this his charter established to Newbattle Abbey that land in Romanno (PEB) which Hugh of Pettinain and his son, Reinald, held of Philip’s father and of Philip, in exchange for that land which his father and Philip gave them, as confirmed in their charters, free and quit from all secular exaction and custom, by stated bounds.
