Dating Notes
John son of Richard was probably a brother of Geoffrey son of Richard of Inverkunglas (_C.A. Chrs._, no. 44; _C.A. Rent._, no. 69). Invertiel was part of the lands of Balwearie, which were held by the Inverkunglas family at this time. Roger de Mortimer, who witnesses this act, was certainly dead by 1227, and ceases his frequent charter attestations around 1217.
