John Comyn, knight, has granted [and made firm by this his charter,] one stone of wax to provide lighting in the church of Durham, of him and his heirs, yearly at the feast of St Cuthbert in September, as it is contained in the charter of Sir William Comyn, his predecessor, which he has inspected, etc.
