- Laurence Fraser, son of Adam Fraser, son of Udard Fraser, for the soul of his mother Constance, has granted and by his charter established to Newbattle Abbey, all the donation of land and pasture that Oliver the uncle of his father made in the holding of South Hailes (ELO), and all the donation that Adam his father made to the same monks in the same holding of South Hailes of the land of ‘Southrig’ with increase and pasture, and all other pertinents, with pasture, and liberties, and free entry and exit.
