Walter Comyn, son of William Comyn, has given, granted and established by this his charter, to Scone Abbey in pure and perpetual alms, one stone of wax or 4s. on the feast of St Michael from his chamber.

Appearance of Walter Comyn and Robert, chaplain of the king, in the charter record × election of Robert the chaplain to the bishopric of Ross; probably by the time William Comyn succeeded to earldom of Buchan. Walter Comyn witnessed royal charters on 19 Jan. 1213 (_RRS_ ii, no. 511), 25 Feb. 1213 (_RRS_ ii, no. 513), 28 Feb. 1213 (_RRS_ ii, no. 514), and 16 May, 1212×14 (_RRS_ ii, no. 521). He was also present at the royal court on the earldom of Menteith, 6 Dec. 1213 at Edinburgh (Fraser, _Menteith_, no. 7). There was also a Walter Comyn, king’s clerk, in 1225 (_Moray Reg._, C.O., no. 6).
