Description
Adam of Hastings, for the soul of his lord King William, and for the welfare of his lord King Alexander and his lady Queen Ermengarde, and of the boys of King William and the lady Queen, has given, granted and by his charter established, to Arbroath Abbey, all that part of the land of Kingledoors (PEB), which his lord King William gave him, and as fully as he held that land by his gift, in free, pure and perpetual alms, by its right bounds, and with all its just pertinents, free and quit from all custom and secular exaction.
