Description
Merleswain, son of Merleswain, has granted and established by this his charter, to St Andrews Priory, the church of Kennoway (FIF) with all its just pertinents, and with the lands which Simeon the priest held, namely ‘Chlenohc’ (FIF) and the valley of ‘Mandrethin’ (FIF), and ‘Pettenduem’ (FIF) and ‘Pettaschen’(FIF), which Merleswain his father offered to the same church, and a quarter part of ‘Drumchathin’ (FIF) and a quarter part of ‘Fanclarachin’ (FIF), perpetually in alms. He has also established the land of Kilmux (FIF) in the same parish, by its right bounds, with common pasture, and with all just pertinents, free and quit from all service and secular exaction, as attested by his father’s charter.
