Description
An agreement is formed between Abbot William and the convent of Scone on one side and Adam son of Odo (of Kinninmonth) on the other, whereby Samson son of Gilbert with his household (secta) will have liberty from the abbot and convent, so that they can go wherever they wish to the aforesaid A[dam], and remain with his heirs for as long as they like, rendering to the abbot and convent, as well as to Adam or his heirs born before now, one pound of pepper. Each heir born afterward rendering a pound of cumin at Michaelmas until they reach twenty years old; they may return to the abbey if they wish.
