Description
Walter de Bolebech has given, granted and by this his present charter established in perpetuity to Brother William of 'Mercheley' a certain hermitage called 'Merchingley' (lost - Slaley or Riding, Northumberland) and founded from his wasteland next to 'Merchingburn' (Marchburn) with the church of St Mary constructed there, and with everything pertaining to that land, in free, pure and perpetual alms, for his soul and that of his wife Sybilla.
