Description
Pope Innocent IV writes to the chapter of Sodor, noting that the metropolitan, Serlo, archbishop of Nidaros, had appointed as bishop of the diocese Richard, once chaplain of John, cardinal priest of S. Lorenzo in Lucina, canon of St Andrews in Scotland, thus the chapter is to receive the bishop and to show him due obedience. In the same manner to the clergy and people of the diocese of Sodor.
