Description
Pope Honorius III commands Pandulph, bishop-elect of Norwich, papal legate, to enquire and report to the pope touching information laid against the bishop of Glasgow by Master William from the nave of the church of Glasgow, that, when chaplain of the king of Scotland, he gave 100 marks to Philip de Valognes, the king’s chamberlain, and promised a much larger sum to the queen to procure his appointment to the see by the king, and that he gave 40 marks to Master Ralph Malovicinus, canon of Glasgow, to induce him to resign his prebend.
