Description
Pope Gregory IX indulges to the bishop of Glasgow, since the church of Glasgow pertains to the apostolic see with no intermediary, that no one shall bring into secular court the bishop or the men of his church concerning tenements or other belongings unless they are gifted in fief or in perpetual alms, expressly prohibiting this before secular judges, whether he may respond himself, or permit his men to respond.
