Description
King Alexander II for Newbattle Abbey; has his saltworks in Carse (STL) and land pertaining to them, with which he endowed abbey on dedication of its church, and undertakes to pay on monks' behalf to Hospitallers at Torphichen and nuns of Manuel Priory the alms which they used to receive from fermes of saltworks.
