Description
Gamelin, bishop of St Andrews, for Dryburgh Abbey; he has received the letters of John de Balliol, who has resigned to Dryburgh Abbey all right and claim on the patronage of the church of Lauder (BWK): the bishop thus establishes this by episcopal authority for the uses of the monastery. Balliol's resignation is Dryb. Lib., no. 9 (H3/72/11). This document is itself inspected in Dryb. Lib., no. 11 (H2/97/52).
