Brice Douglas, bishop of Moray (d.1222)

Biography
Watt and Murray, Fasti, 278; Watt and Shead, Heads, 134: Brice was prior of Lesmahagow (occurring in 1203) when he was elected bishop of Moray to succeed Richard of Lincoln who died that year. He died in 1222. Brice was a son of William of Douglas, who appears in the last quarter of the twelfth century. He had perhaps six brothers, Archibald and Henry, who used the surname 'of Douglas', Alexander, a canon of the chapter, Freskin, parson of Douglas, who became dean of Moray during his brother's episcopate, and two others In A.A.M.
