Watt and Murray, Fasti, 187: Michael was of Cumbrian origin and was nominated by David, brother of King Alexander, to the see of Glasgow following a long vacancy. He was consecrated by Archbishop Thomas (II) of York 1109×1114. He was buried at Morland, in Cumbria.
