Laurence, abbot of Melrose (d.1178)

Biography
Watt and Shead, Heads, 149: Laurence was a monk of Melrose, and had been abbot of an unidentified house in Orkney, when he was elected abbot of Melrose on 14 May 1175. He was blessed by the bishop of Glasgow on 21 May that year, and died in 1178.
