John of Roxburgh, master, treasurer of Glasgow (d.1196)

Biography
Watt, Graduates, 473: John of Roxburgh was a canon of Glasgow and Master. He appears witnessing charters of the bishops of Glasgow from the 1160s and might have been the same Master John who held the church of Lessudden (ROX) or the church/chapel of Longnewton, though this might be John of Lilliesleaf. He was appointed treasurer of Glasgow Sept. 1195×Feb.1196. While treasurer and a novice at Melrose, he died at Melrose Abbey on 2 February 1196.
