Based on Hugh acting as bishop of St Andrews. Bishop Richard probably died on 13 May 1178. Hugh was consecrated in 1178 but this was quashed by the pope by 15 June 1180. He was reinstated in 1183 and deposed by 16 Jan. 1188. He died 4 Aug. 1188.
