The sheriffs and officers in whose bailiaries the canons of St Andrews hold churches are to see to it that the canons have the teinds due to them from their parishioners, as in the time of King Malcolm; the have permission to compel payment in case of refusal, and take forfeiture from defaulters as was established in Scotland north of the Forth by King David.
